"A reminder of when I was struggling most in life, God has raised the flag which allowed me to make the necessary changes to live a life that is pleasing to Him. In as much that my character stands out by the lives I have touched"

Mrs. Sealey-Liverpool proudly served in the teaching service for 37 years. Her career began at Point Fortin Junior Secondary on the 22nd September 1986. This was the first time Mrs. Liverpool made her way to Point Fortin. The warm embrace and love that she received there by her students and fellow teaching staff, made her fall in love with teaching. As Mrs. Liverpool tried to navigate her way through her new career, the Ministry of Education decided that 1987 was meant to be adventurous year for her. Mrs. Liverpool filled a few temporary posts: she was first placed at Curepe Junior Secondary, she then moved to Moruga Composite, Princes Town Secondary and Barataria Junior Secondary. With this unique opportunity of working in varying schools in such a short space of time, Mrs. Liverpool eyes were opened and she saw her purpose as a leader and the importance of her role as teacher in this noble profession.
In 1988, Mrs. Liverpool filled her first permanent appointment at Toco Composite School. There she remained for 4 years. Although Toco was far from home the Friday afternoon lime and cookout, sea and sand that country life had to offer were more than enough to compensate for the long drives to and from work. The students were very respectfully and appreciative of the support that she always offered in the classroom. However, as sweet and as welcoming as the students and teachers at Toco Composite may have been, after 4 years of travelling so far with no car of her own, the distance started to take a toll on her.
In 1992 Mrs. Liverpool joined the staff at South East Secondary School in Port of Spain. At that school Food and Nutrition and Home Economics were compulsory and so her work load was very heavy. Nevertheless, the willingness of the students and support of the staff there made everyday feel worthwhile. Mrs. Liverpool worked at South East for the next 6 years. With the desire to work closer to home, Mrs. Liverpool was transferred in 1998 and she returned to Curepe Junior Secondary School, now called St Joseph Secondary School. It is here, at this school, that she would finally call home, as she would stay here for the next 25 years. It is during her time here that Ms. Sealey, now Mrs. Sealey- Liverpool got married and had her 2 beautiful children. It is here that she made life long friends on staff, it is here that she taught some of the most awesome students.
Mrs. Charmaine Sealey-Liverpool will always be an honorary member of the Curepe Junior/St. Joseph Secondary Family.
